Hello! I’m Abbey.
I’m a self-taught Asian-Canadian artist currently living in the heart of Canada (Winnipeg!). As a kid I had a hard time making friends but I always had my paper, colouring books and crayons. I’ve always thought of myself as a little different from everyone else – maybe a little odd, weird, and definitely socially awkward! As an adult I still find myself feeling the same way and my art represents all those little traits whether it’s in the squiggly lines or quirky characters.
Combining all my creative interests together I am able to make products that I adore. From greeting cards to clay and resin figures, my hope is to inspire creativity, encourage self-acceptance, and spread positive vibes. Oh, and of course I want to spread happiness too!
What's the deal with your name?
Pirroppi (pee-roh’-pee) is a moniker or artist name. It was a cute little word made up by my significant other to describe the little birds we would see when we would go birding. The name stuck with me as birds have had a significance throughout my life.
